Companies

Cahoots NI is a professional children's theatre company, based in Belfast, creating world-class, inspirational theatre for children aged 4 to 11 years. The company aims to expand the imagination of children and to stimulate their artistic creativity through the visual potential of theatre blending the age-old popularity of music, magic and illusion with physical theatre. Through main productions, tours, education and outreach work the company aims to encourage appreciation of the arts in children from all sections of society and to develop meaningful links with these communities.

In addition to the major venues throughout the island of Ireland, Cahoots NI has performed at the Imagination Stage Washington DC, the Seoul International Children's Theatre Festival, the International Children's Festival in Edinburgh, Belfast Festival at Queen's and the Belfast Children's Festival. The company also produces an innovative arts and health project called Magic Medicine which encompasses four separate projects; Bedside Theatre, The Bumblebee Orchestra and The Honey Pot and The Smallest Circus in the World. In 2007 Bedside Theatre performed in Malta and was nominated for a National Lottery Award in the Health category, competing against just nine other projects from across the UK.
