THISISPOPBABY is a theatre and events production company that rips up the space between popular culture, counter culture, queer culture and high art – providing both a vehicle for our associate artists’ dreams and an electrifying access point to the arts.

Established in January 2007, the company - led by Jennifer Jennings and Phillip McMahon - has had many sold out shows, won three major awards, has produced tours for other artists, ran a performance, art and electropop space at the Electric Picnic Music Festival (2008-2010), stages Queer Notions, a mini-festival of queer ideas and performance, at Project Arts Centre and made history in 2010 with performance art club WERK in the Abbey Theatre (Best Night Out 2010, Sunday Times).

THISISPOPBABY won the David Manley Emerging Arts Entrepreneurs Award in 2009 and are proud to be part of Project Catalyst, an initiative of Project Arts Centre.
